Food Flavor

The foods we consume every day can be classified into two main groups: natural foods and processed foods. Natural foods, including fruits and vegetables, are eaten unprocessed to appreciate their fresh and juicy tastes and natural flavors. On the other hand, some foods are baked, boiled, or steamed to improve the taste of the natural ingredients. Recently, cooking styles have become more complicated and elaborate with a trend toward finding gourmet, high-class, and genuine foods.
However, sometimes foods loses their natural flavors during processing, and in the worst-case scenario, the original flavors change into unpleasant ones. Therefore, various food flavorings that imitate the natural flavors are added during processing. These additives are effective for maximizing the taste and flavor of the food by improving and distinguishing the flavors, adding some appealing qualities, increasing the appetite, refreshing the mouth, and stimulating the taste.
